







The 2026 Matriculation Exam began nationwide on March 11. In Kachin State, the exams are being held at 23 exam centres.
On the second day of the exam on Thursday, students sat for the English subject. Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan visited exam centres in Myitkyina to observe the peaceful and orderly examination process and encourage students. During the visit, the Chief Minister inspected exam centres at No. 9 Basic Education High School and No. 8 Basic Education High School.
He also met with teachers and officials to review exam arrangements and health-care preparedness. At noon, the Chief Minister and officials visited No. 4 Basic Education High School exam centre, where they greeted students who had finished their exam and distributed snacks and drinks.
In Kachin State, a total of 12,180 students were registered for the exam, with 11,620 students participating, representing 95.5 percent attendance. Technical, agricultural, and livestock students also took their exams at three centres, with all 200 registered students attending.
