Support for Literature : 31st Pakokku Literary Awards Ceremony held in Yangon

The 31st Pakokku Literary Awards Ceremony, including the Pakokku Lifetime Achievement Award, Literary Awards, Library Book Awards, and Outstanding Student Awards, was held on Friday at the Printing and Publishing Department in Yangon.

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint, regional ministers, officials, writers, award committee members, students, and guests attended the ceremony. This year, 13 literary awards were presented, including long novel, short story collection, poetry, academic, and research categories.

The Lifetime Achievement Award went to Dr. Khin Than Oo (Ma Moe Myay). During the ceremony, cash donations were made for the Pakokku Award Fund.
