Support for e-Sport : Honouring the World Champion Yangon Galacticos Team

A ceremony to honour the World Champion Myanmar e-Sport Team, Yangon Galacticos, was held in Taunggyi of Shan State on Saturday. On their arrival in the city on August 30th, the victorious was welcomed along the Bogyoke Aung San Road by local populace including students and band troupes.

Chief Minister U Aung Aung also joined the welcoming party, together with the Leading Patron of the Myanmar e-Sport Federation, Founder of Kanbawza Bank Group U Aung Ko Win and officials at Jasmine Taunggyi Hotel. During the honouring event, Chairman of Myanmar e-Sport Federation Dr Kaung Myat San expressed gratitude for the supports of the federation, nurturing Myanmar youths to reach the world stage.

The Championship Trophy was then handed over to the federation leading patron. The KBZ Bank and KBZPay have been supporting the Myanmar e-Sport Federation since 2018, and to date, over 4.5 billion kyat were contributed. The Yangon Galacticos won the Championship at the PUBG Mobile World Cup 2025, held in Saudi Arabia, after competing against more than 2,000 players from over 200 teams across more than 100 countries.
