Stem Education: Myanmar Stem National Final Competition 2019-2020

Myanmar STEM National Final Competition 2019-2020 was conducted its second day at Wunna Theikdi Indoor Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw on Sunday.                                                                                                                                   

Myanmar STEM Competition was launched in 2013, and the competition has been held in Yangon and Mandalay respectively. It aims to get practice for the students after teaching the subjects of science, technology, engineering and mathematics in the classroom.

Chairman, Myanmar STEM Competition, Soe Moe Aung said “STEM means science, technology, engineering and mathematics and it teaches how we apply and how we match practically after the learning like physic, chemistry and maths. These are important when we are engaging in businesses.”

Coach, ILBC, Myo Myin Thu said “The students are getting interest in STEM subjects through the competition. They also get friendship, team work spirit and they called others to participate.”

This year title of the competition is “Clean Water” and the students visited water manufactures and collected data before the competition. 

Student, ILBC (Nay Pyi Taw), Zin Sat Sat Aung said “We are going to perform about toilet by making stories that the diseases from toilet enter into the well when we connect toilet and well. I got friendship, confidence and team work through this competition.”

Chairman, Myanmar STEM Competition, Soe Moe Aung said “We are going to judge call value that means professionalism, group participation, and respect. We will interview including their efforts, cooperation, community impact, and own solutions on their projects.”

A Total of 50 teams from Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw participate in 2-day competition.
