Statistics Issues: Dy C-in-C Addresses Committee’s Meeting 1/2021

Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice Senior General Soe Win, in his capacity as Chairman of the Central Committee for Data Accuracy and Quality of Statistics, addressed the Committee’s meeting 1/2021 on Friday afternoon in Nay Pyi Taw.

In the meeting, the Vice Senior General stressed 6 policies and urged the attendees to accelerate the ongoing tasks and complete the remaining tasks. He called for cooperation by Clusters 1, 2 and 3 of the Committee with ministries. He highlighted the importance of cooperation among the ministries to get Data Accuracy and Quality of Statistics and international and public trust, and, also, right decisions can be made. Attendees reported on ongoing tasks, the release of accurate statistics, statistical security, responsibility, accountability, cooperation, the implementation by the clusters, statistical awareness campaign, training, implementation of the national strategic plan for statistical development and statistical works in regions and states.

This meeting 1/2021 of the Central Committee for Data Accuracy and Quality of Statistics made decisions.

In his remarks, the Vice Senior General called for efforts to get international standard statistics to enter the international statistics system.
