State President Visits Oil and Gas Staff in Ba Ria-Vung Tau

Viet Namese President Vo Van Thuong on Friday visited Cuu Long Joint Operating Company's central drilling rig, offering New Year wishes to its officials and engineers and the 60,000-strong staff in the oil and gas industry, in the southern province.

During the visit, he stated that the success of collaborative endeavours is a beacon of international cooperation, delivering significant national benefits, fostering confidence among international partners, and crucially contributing to upskilling the industry’s workforce.

Since its establishment in 1998, the company has pumped up over 415 million barrels of oil, generating a total revenue of more than 30 billion USD. This outstanding performance has assisted nearly 14 billion USD contribution to the State budget, solidifying its standing as Vietnam’s second-largest oil contractor.
