








The Stake Driving ceremony for the Billiards and Snooker Hall located within the Koe Thayin Sports Ground in Pathein, Ayeyarwady Region, was held on March 8th at the site where the sports hall will be constructed. The Ayeyarwady Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win, together with regional government ministers, attended the ceremony and drove the stakes.
Following this, the Region Chief Minister and party attended the 2026 International Women's Day ceremony held at the Ayeyar Shwewar Hall in Pathein, where the Region Chief Minister delivered a commemorative speech.
Subsequently, the Region Chief Minister and guests watched a video message from the United Nations Secretary-General and an educational documentary video sent by the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement. They also visited and viewed a documentary photo gallery, handicraft products made by women, and craft items and products from home economics vocational training schools.
Afterwards, the Region Chief Minister and party attended the Higher Recognition and Honor Ceremony held at the Kabar Aye Pariyatti Monastery in Pathein. The Region Chief Minister and his wife conferred religious titles and paraphernalia, donation items and also offered ‘Soon’ (day meal) to the venerable Sayadaws, it’s reported.
