Sports Sector: Sports facilities in Mandalay inspected

Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and Hotels and Tourism Jeng Phang Naw Taung accompanied by the officials inspected Institute of Sports and Physical Education (Mandalay) on Thursday.

The Union Minister inspected football ground with 400-meter Synthetic run way and instructed for timely completion of renovation works.

The Union Minister also instructed on cleaning and greening works of the Institute and to turn out outstanding track and field athletes while emphasizing to train new generation athletes in swimming, diving and track and field sports.

The Union Minister later made encouragement to Grade-10, 11 and 12 students who were taking 2025-2026 Academic Year mid-term test and gave necessary instructions to the Principal and officials.

At the institute clinic, the Union Minister instructed for systematic using of medical equipment, water utilization of the institute and meal preparation for the students. Then, the Union Minister met with displaced staff and locals and provided sports items and necessities.
