Sport Sector: 10-township U-18 women’s football tournament

The opening of the 10-township U-18 women’s football tournament for the Mon State Chief Minister Cup took place in Mawlamyaing Township. In his address to this football tournament opening, Chief Minister U Zaw Lin Tun expressed the Mon State Government’s efforts for sports sector development in the State.

For the sports sector development, the power of the youth is the key, and it depends on factors such as the health and fitness, fullness of talent, and high morale of the youth. After his speech, the Chief Minister opened the tournament and watched the 1st match. In the 1st match of the tournament, Yay Township team beat the Kyaikhto Township team 4-3. A cash award was presented to the best player from Yay Township team.
