The special stamps of Year of the Rabbit were issued in Shanghai on Thursday and the citizens are flocking to buy them. 2023 is the Guimao Year of the Rabbit in Chinese Lunar Calendar. Docile and gentle rabbit is a symbol of purity and beauty, and is adored as an auspicious animal in Chinese folk customs.

The designer is Huang Yongyu, a famous Chinese artist and the "father of monkey stamps". At the stamp, the background is decorated with the pattern of "Jade Rabbit Making Medicine", expressing the sincere desire to pray for peace, health and people's happiness despite the pandemic.
