
In a effort to portray Myanmar’s cultural heritage, reviving traditional costumes of men and women from generation to generation and draw the attention of the youth, Myanmar Post under the Ministry of Transport and Communications will issue two new postage stamps (worth K200 each) at 9:30 am on 29 April 2022, depicting the costumes of men and women in Amarapura era.
The new series will be sold at the Central Post Office in Nay Pyi Taw, the General Post offices in Yangon and Mandalay and other post offices in each region and state.
To mark a special event, the postage stamps purchased at the Central Post Office in Nay Pyi Taw and General Post offices in Yangon and Mandalay on 29 April 2022, the date will be sealed on the bought postage stamps, it’s reported.
