South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol held a meeting with Democratic Party (DP) leader Lee Jae-myung at the presidential office in Yongsan on Monday. It is the first-ever one-on-one meeting they held since the president took office two years ago.
The DP chair was predicted to propose doling out 250,000 won each to the entire population to help restore their livelihoods. The main opposition party called for a complete shift in the Yoon administration’s state management, insisting that what the public wants was reflected in the results of the latest general elections.
