Some cities in Xinjiang restore normal production

Some areas in northwest China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region have gradually restored normal production and living conditions, starting from Tuesday, as the number of new COVID-19 cases has dropped.

These areas include Urumqi, capital of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, Korla and Yining.Urban public transportation has gradually resumed in batches, including buses and taxi operations in Korla City. Grocery stores and other businesses were open in an orderly manner. Daily food supplies including rice, meat and vegetables are available in supermarkets.

Private cars were seen on the roads in Shihezi city of northern Xinjiang, and taxis have resumed normal operation.
