Solomon Islands PM arrives in Beijing for official visit

Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands Manasseh Sogavare arrived in Beijing on Sunday for an official visit to China. At the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang, he is to stay in China until July 15. This is his second visit to China in four years.

During his visit, leaders of the two countries will have in-depth exchanges of views on bilateral relations and international and regional issues of mutual interest. Besides Beijing, he will also visit Jiangsu and Guangdong provinces. One of the main missions of the visit is to open the Solomon Islands Embassy in Beijing.
