








To commemorate the 78th Anniversary Independence Day, Magway Region government opened a new concrete road at Kyit Sone Pway Village in Magway Township on Thursday.
Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, together with the region ministers, departmental officials and locals, attended the opening ceremony of the new facility constructed under Quick Win Programme in 2025-2026 Fiscal Year. The ceremony commenced with the ceremonial ribbon cutting by the Chief Minister and officials.
Then, the Chief Minister and party inspected the completion of road and gave necessary instructions. In his address, the Chief Minister stated the government efforts to narrow down the development gap between urban and rural areas, create job opportunities to increase family income while striving for MSMEs development by adopting project plans in line with the missions of the National Defence and Security Council.
The Chief Minister also called for collaboration of all locals for sustainable development of the region. The Chief Minister also heard reports by the Region Transportation Minister and Deputy Director General from the Department of Rural Development Head Office (Nay Pyi Taw).
He then coordinated the needs on the reports and provided sports equipment for the village school. The newly constructed concrete road is 3,300 long and 12 feet wide, spending 264 million kyats from Quick Win Programme. The new facility benefits for locals from over 1,800 households in the areas, contributing to the progress of social status, better health care, smooth transportation access and education.
