Social Welfare: Inspections And Aid Provision In Sittwe

Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Thet Thet Khine made inspections in Rakhine State.

On December 16, in Sittwe, the Union Minister inspected the Childcare Center and provided snacks for the children. She also inspected the domestic vocational training school and stressed expansion of the courses with the help of experts. The Union Minister also met with staff from the Department of Social Welfare.

In this meeting, the Union Minister explained the Ministry’s future plans for social protection and development and coordinated the facts presented by the staff. On December 17, the Union Minister visited the State Home for the Aged in SetYoneSu Ward and provided the cash assistance of over 3 million Kyats.

On December 18, the Union Minister inspected the Rescue Gear Store storing 22 kinds of rescue gear and equipment for regional development works.
