







Chairman of National Committee on social protection, Union Minister for the Ministry (2) of Union Government Office U Ko Ko Hlaing attended the committee meeting at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement in Nay Pyi Taw on 4th September.
Speaking on the occasion, the Committee Chairman said that Social protection measures for vulnerable groups will be prioritized in order to reviving and development of the human resources. In the speech given by the Head of State during the meeting on Recovery and Rehabilition of Myanma Economy in Post-earthquake period, he highlighted that among the three pillars of the Strategic Plan to be implemented, Humanitarian relief and social protection is the first pillar and in establishing the social protection system, it is needed to carry out in line with four paths mentioned in the National Strategic Plan which are Protective Social Protection, Preventive Social Protection, Promotive Social Protection and Transformative Social Protection.
The Union Minister also urged the committee members to make frank discussions regarding the sector-wise implementations, future plans and to make open suggestions. Then, Chairman (1) of the Committee Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Soe Win delivered remarks. Also present at the meeting were deputy ministers from the ministries of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, Immigration and Population, Health, Ethnic Affairs and Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and concerned officials.
