The Jabal Shams mountain peak in Oman was coated in white after snowfall on Monday night.
The temperature reached -2 degrees Celsius on Oman's highest mountain, according to Omani meteorology department records. That's 28.4 Fahrenheit.It is rare for this peak, 3,000 meters above sea level to be blanketed in snow.
