S.Korean President Yoon vows to help boost exports

South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol on Sunday called for new strategies to boost exports for economic improvement.

In his first New Year's address, Yoon emphasized the seriousness of worsening global economic conditions and the importance of export growth for the country's economy. Yoon said South Korea will develop infrastructure construction, nuclear power plants and the defense industry as "new export engines".
