SKorea: North completed prep for new nuclear test

South Korea’s top diplomat said that North Korea has completed preparations for a new nuclear test.

After talks with Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Washington, South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin said the North would pay a price if it goes ahead, with what would be its seventh nuclear test in the coming days.

Both Park and Blinken stressed the door to negotiations without any preconditions remains open for North Korea.

On Sunday, North Korea test-fired what appeared to be artillery shells toward the sea, days after North Korean leader Kim Jong Un called for greater defense capability to cope with outside threats.
