Skills Enhancement: English proficiency training for Pension Department employees

The Ministry of Planning and Finance launched English proficiency training for its Pension Department employees.

Union Minister U Win Shein attended the training opening ceremony at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw and stressed the importance of English language to study the related international laws and by-laws, standards and to participate in cooperation with international organizations.

Efforts are being made to establish Central Provident Fund (CPF) to apply the Defined Contribution System. In order to establish a good pension system for the future of employees, work is in progress to draft the bill for the central fund, the Union Minister added. This 8-week training is joined by 125 employees in line with the COVID-19 prevention guidelines.
