Silver Jubilee: 25th anniversary celebration of YUOE (Ywathagyi Campus)

Celebration for the 25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee of Yangon University of Economics (Ywathagyi Campus) took place at the venue on Thursday, with the attendance of Prime Minister U Nyo Saw.

After formal opening of the ceremony, the Prime Minister unveiled the commemorative stone inscription, and planted a gantgaw tree. The subsequent event continued with the performance by the university students at the University main hall.

In his speech, the Prime Minister wished for the success of the university, nurturing the qualified experts, who can contribute to the development of the nation. The celebration features screening of a commemorative video clip and performance by the students. It also  includes job fairs, seminars, research poster contest and paper reading session. Yangon University of Economics (Ywathagyi Campus) was opened in 2000, and at present, the campus offers bachelors degree, honours degree and master degree. It provides international standard education system, encouraging the student centered approach, along with case studies, project based learning system. The government also offers economic outstanding awards and scholarship awards.
