Showing Sympathy : Diplomats sign the Book of Condolences

The Ambassadors and Heads of Mission accredited to Myanmar solemnly signed the Book of Condolence opened at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sagawah Street, Yangon, starting from 8 August, in honour of the late Pro Tem President, U Myint Swe, who passed away on 7 August.

On 8 August, the Ambassadors of Nepal, Thailand, Bangladesh, Brazil, India, the United Arab Emirates, China, Cambodia, and Laos, as well as the Chargés d’Affaires ad interim of Israel and Timor-Leste, and a representative of the Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the Holy See, each inscribed messages of condolence in tribute to the late President.

They were received by the Director-General of the Strategic Studies and Training Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with senior officials of the Ministry. The Ambassadors and Heads of Mission conveyed their deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family of the late Pro Tem President, and to the Government and people of Myanmar during this time of national mourning.
