Shanghai Marathon Makes a Welcome Return

Some 18,000 runners set off on a 42-kilometer journey in the 2022 Shanghai Marathon from Pudong's Oriental Pearl TV Tower on Sunday morning. Because of pandemic control, this year's registration was open mainly to Shanghai-based runners holding household registration or residence permit. The contestants came to their respective assembly areas to check the venue code, travel code, and nucleic acid test information.

The players expressed their understanding and expressed their support for the daily nucleic acid test 5 days before the game. Starting from 7 o'clock in the morning, the contestants passed the Bund, People's Square, Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, Jing'an Temple, Xuhui Riverside and other Shanghai landmarks, across three administrative districts, and rushed to the finish line.
