

South Korea's Defence Ministry said the country would join the U.S. and Japan on Monday for joint missile defence drills in international waters near the Korean Peninsula.
A spokesperson from South Korean Navy told that the exercises were designed to improve the allies' ability to respond to increasing nuclear and missile threats by North Korea.The naval exercise involving an Aegis destroyer from each country comes as the United States and South Korea also launch separate aerial drills involving some 110 warplanes, including advanced F-35 fighter jets.Those aerial drills will continue until April 28.
