








The second day of the informal meeting between the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee and the negotiation team of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement signatory ethnic armed organizations (NCA-S EAOs) continued on Wednesday at the M Gallery Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw.
First, the meeting continued discussions on matters that remained unresolved from the first day. Subsequently, member of the Negotiation Committee, retired Lt-Gen Aye Win, explained and discussed the status of 43 proposed amendments and additions to the 2008 Constitution to be submitted to the Hluttaw that had been coordinated with political party groups, including 21 points agreed upon with the EAOs.
Afterward, records were made of the agreements reached during the two-day discussions and negotiations. The discussions included matters such as the objectives and implementation stages of the peace process, cooperation between both sides to ensure effective peace talks and jointly implement agreements contained in the NCA, and other points and implementation of the Tatmadaw’s six peace policies and the four policies for achieving lasting peace if transitioning away from armed struggle, combating narcotics, online scam, and online gambling, carrying out a Peace Process Review, and humanitarian assistance issues.
Next, the NSPNC Secretary, Lt-Gen Min Naing, explained future peace process activities and regional development matters that could continue based on the outcomes of the two-day discussions. Following this, records of the agreements reached during the two-day negotiations were signed. Concluding remarks were delivered by the leader of the NCA-S EAOs negotiation team, RCSS Secretary-1 Sao Sai Ngin, and the NSPNC Chairman Lt-Gen Yar Pyae. They also exchanged commemorative gifts, and the meeting was formally concluded.
