News and News Article Writing: News and News Article Writing Training Course opened

The News and News Article Writing Training Course was opened Monday morning at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Information in Nay Pyi Taw with the objectives of enabling the public to be informed of the policies and activities of the Government; sharing experiences in writing news and news articles and developing the ability to assess news values, providing practical training in modern digital news presentation technologies, enabling participants to communicate and discuss in accordance with media ethics, enhancing the role of news media in making positive contributions to the community and promoting the ability to establish cooperation with international news media organizations.

At the ceremony, Ambassador of India to Myanmar, Mr. Abhay Thakur, and Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint delivered remarks on the opening of the training course. The News and News Article Writing Training Course is being jointly organized by the Media Development Department under the Ministry of Information and the Ministry of External Affairs of India under the India Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme. The course will be conducted from August 31 to September 11, with 30 trainees from the Ministry of Information. Two media experts from India will serve as instructors and conduct lectures and discussions throughout the course, it’s learnt.
