















Deputy Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Aung Zeya visited Kyaukse Technological University in Mandalay Region on 15th August and met with the rector and faculty members. During the meeting, the Deputy Minister heard reports on further renovation plans for the earthquake damaged buildings and gave necessary instructions.
Then, the Deputy Minister cordially met with the students and encouraged them to become qualified professionals who can serve as a driving force in nation’s sustainable development process. Subsequently, the Deputy Minister visited Government Technical Institute (Kyaukse), and inspected the workshops.
He also encouraged the students to emphasize on conducting practical works that would align technology needs of private manufacturing enterprises. Next, the Deputy Minister met with the principal, faculty members and students. During the meeting, the Deputy Minister elaborated on opening of socio-economic development related training courses.
Then, the students made clarification on the experiences and knowledge they have gained from the Technology Innovation and Skill Competitions, held at Teacher Training College (Baelin) marking World Youth Skills Day 2025. Then, the Deputy Minister instructed on systematic conducting of applied technology research and strenuous efforts to apply the research results practically.
He also encouraged the students to strive to obtain significant achievements in international competition and presented honorary awards, books and publications to the students who won medals in Youth Skills Day 2025 competitions. The Deputy Minister also inspected the catering service at the college.
