Science and Technology: Myanmar delegation attends the AMMSTI-22

Deputy Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Naychi Lai Lai Thein attended the 22nd ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Science, Technology and Innovation (AMMSTI-22) in Vientiane, Laos on Friday.

During the meeting, delegates discussed ASEAN's 2026–2035 Science, Technology and Innovation Action Plan, regional health science and technology cooperation, and the ASEAN Declaration on Space Cooperation. Myanmar shared its current policies, ongoing initiatives, and future plans for regional cooperation in science, technology, and innovation.

The meeting also endorsed recommendations from the 89th ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation and discussed expanding joint research to support ASEAN community development.
