Schools Reopening: Reopening In Shan State Since Infection Rate Declines

Since the 1st of November, depending on the number of new COVID-19 patients and infection rate, the government has reopened basic education schools including private schools and monastic schools under the Basic Education Department across the nation except for ones in 46 townships.

Among these 46 townships, as the infection rate in Hopong, Yaksawk, Pinlaung, Laikha and Namhsan townships in southern Shan State, Lashio, Nawnghkio, Kutkai, Namhkam, Mabein, Hsenwi and Kunlong townships in northern Shan State and Kengtung and Mongyawng townships in eastern Shan State reached below the fixed estimate, schools including private schools and monastic schools in these townships reopened starting November 30.
