


Union Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe, Rakhine State Chief Minister Dr Aung Kyaw Min, the State cabinet members and officials visited KyaukPhyu Education Degree College on Wednesday to inspect the site chosen for construction of teaching hall, hostel and the school building.
At the meeting hall of KyaukPhyu Education Degree College, the Union Minister met faculty members and trainees who are attending B.Ed first year distance education course. On the occasion, the Union Minister said that the trainee teachers need to learn to be qualified ones in the respective subjects and also need to make efforts in academic affairs for regional development.
He called on the State government, teachers and education families to cooperate for development of education sector in Rakhine State.
The Rakhine State Chief Minister also said that many educated persons are required for regional development and urged the trainee teachers to nurture outstanding students who can be reliable for the state. On arrival at No.3 Basic Education High School, the Union Minister looked into preparations for opening the schools and the proposed site for the construction of football ground facilitated with stand and runways.
The Union Minister and party then inspected KyaukPhyu Practicing Middle School, No.2 Basic Education High School and Middle Schools in Kalar Bar Taung and NgalaPway ward and inspected preparations for schools to be opened in June and learning and teaching of the new curriculum for Grade-5 and fulfilled the needs. In the evening, the Union Minister paid homage to SandarLinkara monastery sayadaw in KyaukPhyu and donated robe and offertories.
