Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and Pakistan sign defence pact

Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and Pakistan signed a joint defense agreement on Friday. The historic trilateral pact states that an armed attack on any one of the three nations will be regarded as an attack against all of them. The pact formalized in Mecca by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

They declared a shared commitment to further strengthening their collective security and to promoting peace, security and stability in the Gulf region and beyond.
