SAC Grants Pardon: 400 More Released from Insein Central Prison

State Administration Council (SAC) granted pardon for those arrested or detained for their involvement in riots due to various reasons.
A total of 647 prisoners were released on the 18th of October and 400 detainees were released on the 19th of October from the Insein Central Prison.

Relevant officials transported them to their respective places.
It’s learnt that plans are underway to release more. The release of the prisoners and detainees is in line with the five-point roadmap set by the State Administration Council for national stability and true democracy.
To bring peace to the people and to let them participate in the nation building tasks, the Council aims to pardon those who have been prosecuted in various courts in the country and imprisoned for participating in riots for various reasons, it is reported.
