SAC Chairman ends Russia visit: SG returns after discussions in Novosibirsk

Chairman of the State Administration Council [SAC] Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing during his visit to Russia held discussions with the Head of Novosibirsk Mr. Andrey Alexandrovich Travnikov at the latter’s office meeting hall on Saturday.

The meeting was also attended by SAC member Mahn Nyein Maung, Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, senior military officers, Myanmar Ambassador to the Russian Federation U Lwin Oo, Military Attaché Brig-Gen Moe Kyaw, the principal of the Higher Military Command School and officials concerned of science and technology, education, social, culture, tourism and other sectors of Russia.

The meeting focused on economic cooperation based on the geographical situation of Novosibirsk, bilateral trade, tourism development network, direct flight to Novosibirsk from Myanmar, proper cooperation in education as there are 22 standard universities in Novosibirsk, sending of Myanmar delegation to the Science and Technology Forum to be held in Russian Federation, study tour for science and technology sectors, exchange of culture and enhancement of bilateral relations in military and civilian sectors.

Also, wife of the Senior General, Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, who joined the visit of the SAC Chairman paid a visit to the Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.

At noon, the delegation led by the Senior General left Novosibirsk by a special flight of Myanmar Airways International. They were seen off by concerned Russian and Myanmar officials at Tolmachevo Airport.

During the visit, the Senior General and the delegation met military and civilian officials, visited famous landmarks, universities, factories and workplaces of the Russian Federation and enhanced the cooperation in friendship and culture between the two armies and governments, military technology, science and technology, human resource development, economic, culture and other various sectors.

On arrival at Tatmadaw Airport in Nay Pyi Taw on the same day, the delegation led by Senior General was welcomed by SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife, SAC members and their wives, Union ministers, senior military officers from the office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and their wives, deputy head of the Russian Embassy in Myanmar Mr. Pavel A Klabukov and many other officials.
