Russians vote on the last day of parliamentary elections

Russian voters casted their ballots in the country's parliamentary election, which was held from Friday to Sunday to elect members of the State Duma, the lower house of Russia’s parliament.

The elections are being held as part of Russia's Single Voting Day, with voters in eight regions choosing governors or heads of regions, while parliamentary elections are taking place in 39 regions.  Initial results are expected to start emerging at around 18:00 GMT on Sunday, with more complete results available on Monday.
