Russian FM Lavrov thanks China for 'support' after Putin re-election

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov thanked China for its support after Russian President Vladimir Putin's recent re-election during a meeting with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Beijing on Tuesday.

Lavrov arrived in China on Monday for a two-day official visit. During the meeting on Tuesday, Wang Yi promised China will support Russia's stable development under the leadership of President Putin. Wang added that Beijing and Moscow will continue to strengthen strategic cooperation on the world stage and provide each other with strong support.
