Russian Defense Minister meets senior Chinese military officials in Beijing

Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, on an official visit to Beijing, met with senior Chinese army official Zhang Youxia on Tuesday. The meeting took place the day after Belousov met with his Chinese counterpart Dong Jun on Monday and called for the two sides to "deepen strategic collaboration" and "continuously advance military relations".

Belousov said military cooperation between China and Russia played an important role in "maintaining global and regional stability". He added that his talks in Beijing would help strengthen the Russian-Chinese strategic partnership in the field of defense.
