Russia not ruling out resumption of 3-way peace talks

A spokesperson for the Russian presidential office has said that Russia does not rule out the resumption of high-level peace talks with Ukraine and the United States.

Russian President Putin met the special envoy of US President Donald Trump, Steve Witkoff, and Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, in Moscow on Saturday.

The US negotiators held talks with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy in Kyiv the following day. The spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, said on Monday, "Any attempts are definitely more or less effective and it was a small step towards peace." He added, however, that it is premature to speak about the venue and the exact timing. The high-level trilateral talks have been stalled due to the conflict in the Middle East.
