Rural Development : MCRD Union Minister tours in Ayeyarwady Region

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe inspected rural development and cooperative activities in Ayeyarwady Region on Sunday.

During his visit to Ngapudaw Township, the Union Minister met with local residents, farmers, cooperative members, and officials. He explained the government efforts to improve rural infrastructure, agriculture, livestock, and small-scale production for increased family incomes.

He encouraged farmers to form cooperatives to expand agricultural production and said the ministry will provide quality seeds and necessary inputs on time. He also highlighted free vocational training opportunities in cooperative accounting schools and other institutions for Grade-9 students, as well as support for small businesses after training.

The Union Minister later inspected the construction site of a concrete bridge that will benefit 23 villages and over 21,000 people, and road development projects in Hainggyikyun. He urged officials to complete projects on time, meeting the set standards.
