Rural Development Efforts: Electricity access in two villages of Magway

Initiated with Magway Region Government Fund, the opening ceremony of electricity access was held in Wat Lu San and In Pin Kan Villages in Magway Township on 18th December.

Chief Minister U Tint Lwin and concerned officials formally inaugurated the ceremony. Then, the Chief Minister presented cash reawards to the performance troupes and inspected the electricity access within villages.

In his speech, the Chief Minister highlighted the efforts of the government in increasing power generation to provide sufficient electricity for the region. Due to strenuous effort of the government, 62% of the households within the region are receiving sufficient power supply.

The Chief Minister also stressed on systematic power usage and bill payments. Then, the reports on health, transportation and education development of the villages were presented. Upon reports, the Chief Minister coordinated necessities, provided cash assistance and sports equipment for the village schools.
