Rule of Law and Security Cooperation : 8th China-Myanmar Ministerial Meeting

At the invitation of Chinese Minister of Public Security, Mr. Wang Xiaohong, a Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung visited China from September 14 to 20.

The delegation attended the 8th China-Myanmar Ministerial Meeting on Rule of Law and Security Cooperation, held in Beijing on September 15. Both sides discussed strengthening cooperation in law enforcement and signed a joint agreement. Later that day, the delegation also joined the Lancang-Mekong Ministerial Meeting on Rule of Law and Security, discussing regional peace, stability, and mutual trust among Mekong countries.

On September 16, the delegation traveled to Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province, to attend the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (2025) and the 2nd Public Security Technology Exhibition on September 17 and 18, where over 120 countries and international organizations participated.

The Union Minister emphasized international cooperation in tackling security challenges and peaceful conflict resolution. On September 19, the delegation visited the Putuo District Police Headquarters in Shanghai to observe crime investigation operations. The delegation returned to Yangon on September 20.
