Rubio launches Latin America tour with pledge to restore Colombia ties

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Tuesday pledged to restore bilateral ties with Colombia following four years of rule under former President Gustavo Petro. During a three-nation Latin America tour, Rubio met with Colombian President Abelardo de la Espriella in the Caribbean port city of Barranquilla. Both sides signed agreements covering critical minerals supply chains and civilian nuclear cooperation.
