King Charles III and Queen Camilla are in Antigua where they attended Antigua and Barbuda’s annual Independence parade Sunday. The King and Queen were caught in a downpour as they arrived at the Sir Vivian Richards cricket stadium.
The King viewed a portion of the parade without an umbrella, causing him to get visibly wet. He later joked with the Prime Minister of Antiguea and Barbuda, Gaston Browne, that he was “about to grow watercress” on his suit,” due to the rain. The Royal family posted a video of that exchange on their X account. The Royal Family is in Antigua as part of a nine day tour of the Caribbean.
