

The Wednesday Roundtable Talk was held at the meeting room of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation in the evening on July 6.
In his remark at the talk, the Union Minister U Tin Htut Oo said that as the the young people are working at the industries and services even though most of country’s population live in rural area, efforts are needed to make for the development of production in agriculture and livestock breeding sector by overcoming the labour shortage in the agricultural sector, increase of subsidiary crops production on the net agricultural acreage, timely cultivation and production adapting the climate change, shifting to mechanized farming for the development of individual farmer by per acre production, dissemination of technical assistance and providing necessary assistance for the private sector to be ease of doing business. During the roundtable talk, director U Aung Kyaw Kyaw of Agricultural Mechanization Department conducted as a master of ceremony and director U Kyaw Soe, director U Tun Tun Win, assistant director Dr. Myo Kyaw Thu and assistant lecturer Daw Khin Zar Zar Tun from Agriculture University participated in the discussions. Also present at the roundtable talk were the deputy minister Dr. Aung Gyi, permanent secretary and departmental officials and the participants from the regions and states took part via online, it’s reported.
