Rights of PWDs: Commemoration Ceremony held in Sagaing Regaion

2022 International Day of Persons with Disabilities was observed in MonYwa of Sagaing Region on 3rd December. Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw attended the commemoration ceremony and made a speech, saying that the Government is implementing the tasks for the persons with disabilities to enjoy their rights in respective regions and states.

In Sagaing Region, the Regional Law on Development of the Persons with Disabilities was enacted. Moreover, cooperation has been made with the international organizations for providing supporting equipment for the disabilities and assistance for those who became disabilities due to land mine. He urged all departmental personnels and volunteer organizations to continue efforts for promoting the social status of the persons with disabilities.

It was followed by screening of video clip to mark the international day. The Chief Minister later presented prizes to the winners at the disable sports competitions and singing contest.
