Rights Issue: Meeting for Rights of Persons with Disabilities

A coordination meeting was held on Wednesday to write a draft of the national-level strategy (2021-2025) for the rights of persons with disabilities (PWDs).

In the meeting at the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement in Nay Pyi Taw, Union Minister Dr Thet Thet Khaing stressed the importance of implementation of the levels of disability recognition and registration for the national-level strategy (2021-2025) for rights of persons with disabilities (PWDs) so as to provide assistance for the PWDs.

This meeting discussed matters pertaining to the 5-year strategy which included health, education, job, social protection, natural disaster and other emergency situations, ASEAN Enabling Master Plan (2025), Myanmar Sustainable Development Plan (MSDP), Incheon Strategy and policy, strategy and project laid down by ministries.
