Rice Export: Myanmar exporting rice to more than 60 countries

Myanmar rice is exported to more than 60 countries around the world. According to the officials of Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF), rice flour, rice noodles, bran rice and crude oil extracted from bran rice in addition to rice and broken rice are in progress to export to abroad as the high-valued products in the next 3-year from 2022 to 2025.

Ye Min Aung, Chairman, Myanmar Rice Federation(MRF) said "In exporting to more than 60 countries, People’s Republic of China, Philippines and Bangladesh are the largest buyers of Myanmar Rice among Asian Countries and Europe countries such as Belgium, Czech Republic and Poland are  the countries that buy a lot of Myanmar broken rice. Among the currently rice exporting countries, we are trying to sell high-quality rice at a competitive price. During this 3 year period, the Myanmar Rice Federation is making efforts to expand and import more rice and rice-related products."

Aiming to generate high earnings for the country, in addition to low-grade rice, middle-grade rice and high-grade rice such as Taung Pyan, Paw San Hmway and sticky rice are being tried to be able to export in expansion in next 3-years with the cooperation of Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF) and other exporting companies.
