





The Review Meeting of the Central Committee for organizing 25thAnniversary Golden Jubilee Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition was held at the Culture Treasure Hall of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, Office No. (35) in Nay Pyi Taw on January 6.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the Competition, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture, U Tin Oo Lwin, delivered an opening speech. He mentioned that the number of participants in the competition had increased this year compared to the previous 24th competition. While the previous year had 2,306 participants, this year saw 2,540 competitors, indicating growth in participation. Furthermore, he noted that some categories had more prizes this year, which helped boost the spirits of the participants.
A total of 550 prizes were awarded in gold, silver, bronze, and shield trophy. He expressed appreciation for the active participation of all regions and states in the Chin Traditional Dance category and remarked that it was a pleasing sight to see everyone competing enthusiastically.
He also announced that the 26th competition will feature the Tanintharyi Region Traditional Dance. The Union Minister encouraged that this competition, organized annually by the state as a national duty, continues to thrive and develop, and urged everyone to work together to ensure its continued success.Next, the Secretary of the Organizing Committee, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs and Culture, Daw Nu Mya Zan, provided an update on the completion of the event and presented the feedback from committee members and officials who attended.
They discussed the strengths, weaknesses, and suggestions for future improvements related to the competition’s execution.Finally, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Union Minister U Tin Oo Lwin, gave the closing remarks.
Then, he honored U Hlain Win Maung, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, for his efforts in leading and facilitating the use of traditional instruments to create a joyful atmosphere at the event.
