A reinforced concrete bridge on the Kantbalu–Sapae Natha  road in Kantbalu Township of Sagaing Region, which was damaged by a landmine explosion, has been successfully repaired.

The bridge was damaged in the early morning of December 17 by PDF terrorists, causing part of the bridge deck to break and blocking traffic. Security forces inspected the site and found that both people and vehicles were unable to cross.

A joint team including security forces carried out repair work and cleared obstacles from the bridge. The repairs were completed by 4:00 pm on December 18, and the bridge is now open again for normal traffic. Security forces are continuing necessary operations to identify and take action against those responsible for the attack.
