Then, the attendees led by Deputy Minister and Region Minister paid respect to the 156 senior musicians and the provisions were provided to them. It was followed by the words of admonishment delivered by the music veteran Sithu Daw Tin Tin Mya.
After the ceremony, some of the senior music composers and singers expressed words of their delight regarding the ceremony.
Yay Nant Thar Win Maung,,(Veteran Composer/Singer) said " This event is one that honors musicians, a tribute ceremony for senior artists. Most of the individuals here are those who have journeyed through the radio era with their art. It is something to be proud of and is also good for record. I also commend the people who have organized this event annually without fail."
Cho Pyone (Veteran Singer) said " I am happy that this event is being held, and it is also a fitting and appropriate occasion. Those who are receiving tributes in this ceremony are individuals aged 75 and above. Therefore, the suggestion I would like to make to the Chairman of the Music Association is whether it would be better if the age were set at 70 and above. The reason is that nowadays, people's lifespans are only around 70 years, so there might be senior artists who pass away before they get a chance to be honored."
Nwet Yin Win (Veteran Singer) said " In the past, I used to pay homage to others. Now, at 82 years old, I find myself being the one receiving homage. I am pleased to attend this event. I get to see again senior composer/singer musicians who are no longer active. For that, I am grateful. I am also happy to see everyone. I myself still want to live longer and also want to sing many more songs."
